Classroom Rentals at The Sewcial Box
Looking for a welcoming space to gather, create, teach, or connect? The Sewcial Box classroom is available for approved rentals when it is not being used for our classes, camps, workshops, or store events.
Our classroom is best suited for sewing, quilting, fiber arts, creative workshops, nonprofit meetings, small group gatherings, youth programs, and community-focused events.

Rental Options
Classroom rentals are available by request and approval. Rental time includes setup, event time, and cleanup, so please choose enough time for your full event needs.
Standard Classroom Rental
For private groups, creative meetups, workshops, and small gatherings.
Standard rentals are ideal for small groups that need classroom space during available store hours.
Verified Nonprofit Rental
For approved nonprofit organizations, youth-serving groups, and community-based programs.
Discounted nonprofit rates may be available for verified organizations whose event aligns with our classroom use guidelines and community values.
After-Hours Rental
For approved evening rentals outside of regular store hours.
After-hours rentals are approved on a limited basis and may require a staff fee.
What’s Included
Your classroom rental includes use of the classroom space during your approved rental time.
Included with rental:
- Classroom tables and chairs
- Basic classroom setup
- Access to restroom
- Trash bin use
- Use of the classroom during the approved rental block
- Light retail shopping during open store hours
Not included unless approved:
- Sewing machines
- Irons
- Rotary cutters
- Cutting mats
- TSB staff instruction
- Storage before or after the rental
- Private shopping outside posted store hours
Available Rental Times
Classroom rentals are available when the space is not being used for The Sewcial Box classes, camps, workshops, or store events. Availability may vary, and submitting a request does not guarantee the date or time.
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Limited availability based on class and event schedule.
Limited availability, excluding the first Sunday of the month.
Available by approval only and may require a staff fee.
Deposits + Payments
A deposit is required to confirm all approved classroom rentals. No rental date is held or confirmed until the required deposit or payment has been received.
Standard Rentals
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the rental date.
Nonprofit Rentals
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at booking for most nonprofit rentals. Larger rentals, after-hours rentals, or extended bookings may require a 50% deposit.
Last-Minute Bookings
Rentals booked within 7 days of the requested date require payment in full.
Classroom Guidelines
To help keep The Sewcial Box classroom welcoming, safe, and ready for everyone, all rentals must follow our classroom use guidelines.
- Rental time includes setup and cleanup.
- Food and drinks must be approved in advance.
- Children and youth groups must have adult supervision.
- No glitter, confetti, open flames, resin, or messy craft materials unless approved in advance.
- Renters are responsible for damage, excessive cleaning, or missing supplies.
- The classroom must be returned to its original condition.
- Storage before or after the event is not included.
- The Sewcial Box reserves the right to decline rental requests that are not a good fit for the space, schedule, or store operations.
Nonprofit Rentals
We love supporting organizations that serve the community, especially groups focused on creativity, education, youth, families, and outreach.
Discounted nonprofit rental rates may be available for verified nonprofit organizations. To qualify for nonprofit pricing, organizations may be asked to provide documentation such as a 501(c)(3) determination letter, EIN, or other proof of nonprofit status.
Nonprofit rates are not guaranteed and must be approved before booking.

Can I book the classroom online?
Classroom rentals are currently request-based. This helps us protect our class schedule, staff time, and classroom setup while making sure each rental is a good fit.
Can nonprofits rent the classroom?
Yes. Discounted nonprofit rates may be available for verified nonprofit organizations. Approval is required before booking.
Can we bring food?
Food and drinks may be allowed with advance approval. Please include this information in your rental request.
Can we use sewing machines or tools?
Use of sewing machines, irons, rotary cutters, mats, and other classroom tools is not included in standard rentals unless approved in advance. Additional fees may apply.
Can we rent the classroom after hours?
After-hours rentals are available by approval only and may require a staff fee.
Is setup time included?
Yes. Your rental block includes setup, event time, and cleanup. Please choose enough time for your full event needs.
Can we shop during the rental?
Shopping is available during regular store hours. Private shopping outside regular hours must be approved in advance.
