Sit & Stitch at The Sewcial Box
Bring your current project, settle in, and enjoy a few hours of creative sewing time in our classroom. Sit & Stitch is a casual community sewing session designed for sewists who want time and space to make progress on their own projects while enjoying the friendly, creative energy of The Sewcial Box.
This is a great time to work on quilt blocks, binding, piecing, small sewing projects, handwork, cutting, planning, or those “I really need to finish this” projects that keep getting pushed aside.
Please note: Sit & Stitch is independent project time, not a formal class. Instruction is not included. Staff may be available for quick questions as time allows, but project guidance, troubleshooting, and step-by-step help are not part of this event.
BYO Machine — $10
Your $10 registration includes one classroom seat for independent sewing time. Please bring your own sewing machine, current project, tools, and supplies.
Need a shop machine?
A limited number of shop machines may be available by advance request for an additional $15 machine rental fee, making the total session cost $25. Shop machine rentals must be arranged directly with The Sewcial Box before registering and are not guaranteed without confirmation.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Important Notes
Sit & Stitch is independent sewing time and does not include formal instruction. Participants should be comfortable operating their own sewing machine or the reserved shop machine. Staff may be available for quick questions as time allows, but project instruction, troubleshooting, fitting, pattern reading, and step-by-step guidance are not included.
To keep the experience enjoyable for everyone, please arrive with a project you are ready to work on and the supplies needed to complete it.
