Retail Purchase Policy

All retail sales at The Sewcial Box are final unless otherwise approved by our team.

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges on:

  • Cut fabric
  • Sewing supplies and notions
  • Tools or accessories
  • Machines or special orders
  • Clearance, discounted, or final-sale items

If you believe an item is defective, please contact us within 3 days of purchase so we can review and assist.

Questions before checkout? Please ask. We’re happy to help you choose the right product, tool, fabric, machine, or supply before purchasing.

Class Registration Policy

Class registration secures your seat in a scheduled in-store class, workshop, camp, private lesson, or creative event at The Sewcial Box.

Payment is required at the time of registration. Class sizes are limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants.

Students are responsible for reviewing the full class listing before registering, including date, time, skill level, age guidance, supply needs, and machine requirements.

Certain workshops may require instructor approval of designs, patterns, or project selections to ensure projects are achievable within the scheduled class format, timeframe, and project or board size limitations.

Class Cancellation & Store Credit Policy

We understand that schedules can change. Our class policies are designed to be fair to students, instructors, guest educators, and the shop while accounting for materials, preparation, staffing, travel, and limited class seating.

All class, workshop, camp, retreat, private lesson, and event registrations are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@thesewcialbox.com.
  • Cancellations requested 7 days or more prior to the scheduled class or event may be eligible for store credit.
  • Store credit approval is determined at the discretion of The Sewcial Box and may vary depending on class type, instructor agreements, specialty materials, travel arrangements, guest instructors, and event structure.
  • Store credits are valid for 9 months from the issue date and may only be applied toward future classes, workshops, camps, or events at The Sewcial Box.
  • Store credits are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or applied toward retail merchandise unless otherwise specified.
  • Cancellations requested less than 7 days before the scheduled class or event are not eligible for store credit, transfer, refund, or rescheduling.
  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds, store credit, transfers, makeup sessions, or rescheduling.
  • Specialty workshops, guest instructor events, retreats, machine events, camps, and multi-day programs may carry separate cancellation policies, supply fees, minimum enrollment requirements, or travel-related terms listed directly within the registration description. Those terms supersede the standard class policy.
Because seating is limited and instructors, preparation, materials, staffing, travel, and scheduling commitments are reserved in advance, we are unable to make exceptions for missed classes or late cancellations.

Camps & Youth Programs

Our camps and youth programs are designed to provide a safe, structured, creative, and engaging environment.

Participants are expected to follow safety instructions, treat staff and classmates with respect, use tools responsibly, and remain in the designated program area unless otherwise instructed.

Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from class, camp, or program activities without refund.

All required forms, waivers, emergency contact details, and permissions must be completed prior to participation.

Safety & Participation

Participation in sewing, quilting, crafting, and textile-related activities involves inherent risks, including the use of needles, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, sewing machines, and other tools.

By attending classes, camps, workshops, private lessons, or events at The Sewcial Box, participants agree to use tools and equipment responsibly, follow instructor guidance, ask for help when needed, and respect the safety of themselves and others.

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

Media & Marketing

The Sewcial Box may capture photos and videos during classes, camps, workshops, events, or in-store activities for use in website content, social media, email newsletters, marketing materials, and promotional content.

Participation implies consent unless a completed opt-out form is on file before the class, camp, workshop, or event begins.

Parents or guardians who do not want their child photographed or recorded should notify us in writing before participation.

Shipping, Orders & Pickup

Orders are processed within 2–5 business days unless otherwise noted. Shipping times may vary by carrier, holidays, weather, and other conditions outside of our control.

The Sewcial Box is not responsible for carrier delays, lost or stolen packages once marked delivered, incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout, or delays caused by weather, holidays, or carrier disruptions.

Store pickup may be available for eligible online orders. Please wait for confirmation that your order is ready before arriving for pickup.

Payment Policy

Payment is required in full for retail purchases, class registrations, camps, workshops, private lessons, and special orders.

We accept major credit cards and approved payment methods. Payment methods may vary between in-store and online transactions.

Special orders, machines, clearance items, discounted items, and final-sale purchases are not eligible for return or exchange unless otherwise approved by our team.

General Terms

The Sewcial Box reserves the right to update policies, modify class schedules, adjust offerings, refuse service, or make operational changes as needed.

Respectful Environment

We are committed to maintaining a welcoming creative space. Unkind, unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the shop, class, event, or program.
